Status of Local Scour Monitoring Technology for Offshore Fixed Photovoltaic Pile Foundation

      • With the rapid development of photovoltaic power technology, the construction of offshore photovoltaic electric field becomes more prevalent. However, the complex offshore environment, especially the problem of the scour of group pile foundations, poses a severe challenge to the stability and safety of the offshore photovoltaic electric field. It is, therefore, necessary to apply effective monitoring technologies for ensurng the safe operation of the offshore photovoltaic electric field. The results of scour monitoring studies in recent years are overviewed, the status of scour monitoring technology is analyzed and the advantages and disadvantages of the existing scour monitoring techniques such as sonar, fiber Bragg grating sensors, resistivity detection and magnetic measurement are discussed. Subsequently, the status of the scour monitoring technologies for marine pile foundations is further discussed in detail and some suggestions are put forward for the scour monitoring of the offshore fixed photovoltaic pile foundation in order to provide effective solutions for solving the scouring of group pile foundations in the offshore photovoltaic electric field.
