Abstract:
The global coastal erosion is widely distributed, bringing huge losses to the production and life of coastal people. Based on the previous researches and the author’s research results in Shandong Peninsula and Yellow River Delta, the paper analyzes the temporal and spatial variation of coastal erosion and protection technology in recent years. The results show that, firstly, coastal erosion is an adaptive adjustment and rebalancing process of coastal morphodynamics, with significant spatial differences and temporal nonlinearity. Secondly, the influencing factors of coastal erosion are significantly diverse, and the erosion mechanism is significantly regional. Finally, coastal erosion protection and restoration should focus on the sustainability of the effect. On the basis of in-depth research and elucidation of the evolution trend of regional coastal morphodynamics, “soft” coastal protection technology and new coastal protection structures should be developed and applied.
