Abstract:
With the increasing complexity of marine and coastal engineering, fluid-structure-sediment interactions widely exist in engineering construction or facility operation. In recent years, the rapid development of computer technology has provided the necessary technical support for high-precision simulation studies of flow fields and sediment transport processes under the influence of complex factors. This paper summarises the hydrodynamic and sediment transport models that are widely used in ocean and coastal engineering from the perspective of computational fluid dynamics. By reviewing the characteristics and applicability of turbulence and sediment transport simulation methods in various models, the problems and technical challenges of existing models are clarified, while a reasonable outlook on the future development trend of numerical modeling of hydrodynamic and sediment transport processes is made in terms of simulation accuracy and solution efficiency.
